During the pandemic I have had plenty of time to do some self-reflection and I don’t completely love what I see. There are many things I am grateful for in my life but, like most things, there is room for improvement.
It doesn’t help that we have been dealing with a pandemic for a year now and that the final months of this year of COVID, have been WINTER. A time when we have been shut in, numbers went up in January because we still wanted to have holidays together. January and February can be so bleak for us in the colder states.
The snow and ice gave me something to reflect on. In Chinese Medicine stagnation causes pain. Ice is solid, rigid and fixed. This is how I have been feeling in my life. Now my reflections have shown me that I have been very comfortable being a homebody most of my life and quite content with my own backyard.
But I also know that my dreams typically consist of travelling and seeing new things. Which is in direct opposition to my current lifestyle!
So, I have decided to melt the ice and explore!
My birthday is this week, and it is the perfect time to live my best life!
I am going to do a year of new things, “52 Experiences!” I urge you to join in the fun.
I will explore something new every week. Whether it be a new park, hike, museum, historical site or oddity. I am ready to see what’s in my own back yard and explore New England!
You don’t have to spend a bunch of money to have fun, be safe and explore!
